Resources available

WIOA Adult and Dislocated Worker

The WIOA program is geared towards customer choice. Individuals interested in training services are invited to review and research the options presented on our approved training provider list.

Paid Nonprofit Employment

Many nonprofit efforts need additional support to meet our community's needs. Through the National Dislocated Worker Grant, individuals can obtain 12–16 weeks of paid training through Paid Work Experience in a nonprofit organization.

Apprenticeship Programs

Apprenticeship programs combine hands-on training with supplemental classroom instruction. Apprentices earn a progressive wage working full-time for a sponsoring employer while learning the skills of the trade.

Networking opportunities

Professional Networking Group (PNG)

PNG offers career transition services to professional job seekers through networking, workshops and business partnerships. Weekly meetings include networking opportunities along with career advice and job-search tips from guest speakers.

CareerSource Florida workforce training grants

Florida employers can offset the cost of training their teams through two statewide grant programs.

Incumbent Worker Training (IWT) Grants

Reimburses companies for training current full-time employees, focusing on significant skill upgrades or enhancing business competitiveness.

Grant maximumUp to $100,000 per company

Quick Response Training (QRT) Grants
