Course Overview

While IT professionals today are expected to understand some basic cloud terminology and concepts, and have likely worked with public cloud or Software-as-a-Service solutions, the ability to analyze, evaluate, design, and test cloud computing solutions are hard skills to find, and are in high demand. In this course, you will apply the skills required to evaluate and implement standard deployments. You will implement, maintain, and deliver cloud technologies including network, storage, and virtualization technologies to create cloud solutions. You will manage workload migrations, manage cloud vendors to control costs, use automation and orchestration to bring business value from cloud solutions, and ensure security of cloud implementations through the use of cybersecurity best practices. In addition, this course prepares you to pass the CompTIA® Cloud+® exam and earn the corresponding certification.

Course Objectives

The Official CompTIA Cloud+ Study Guide teaches the knowledge and skills to understand cloud architecture and design, deploy cloud services and solutions, successfully maintain, secure, and optimize a cloud environment, troubleshoot common cloud management issues, and prepare candidates to take the CompTIA Cloud+ certification exam.

The course covers cloud networking in the following themes:

Cloud design
Managing cloud networks
Securing cloud resources
Cloud optimization and availability

In addition, increased emphasis has been placed on the use of automation and orchestration, and troubleshooting is covered throughout the course.

Prerequisites

This school is hands down the BEST IT school I have attended for SEC+. I have attended SEC+ twice at Fort Gordon and the information that is taught there was so outdated. I appreciate Applied Technology Academy so much! I actually enjoyed the instruction, it was not hard to follow, and the instructor, Mr. Chaney, was extremely knowledgeable. He was able to communicate to the lowest level from Beginner to advanced. Our class had 100% pass rate of who took the exam after the course was over. After the exam I was able to contact the instructor and Ms. Liz Pernaselci for more information. I was provided with the audio from the course to go over in the event I needed to brush up. We are also allowed to log in to any SEC+ Course afterwards without paying an additional fee. I really appreciate this school and will be attending more courses in the future!
